It was confusing and I always questioned if I was pitching the products right.Īs for the growing opportunity, I didn't really see it. Half the time, people weren't on the same page. I was being trained by multiple people in different styles. You got paid minimum wage, but that's not the kind of money I was aiming for. You get lucky if neither of them was available and you can try to close the sale yourself, but even that wasn't guaranteed. In other words, if a customer came in to buy a hot tub, that sale automatically goes to the manager or the number 2 associate. However, what they didn't tell you, was that it is all seniority based. I thought I could try to learn the products and sell what I can to make commission sales. That was only partially true, at least to me. I was told that there was the opportunity to grow and you could make good money. At first, it was an interesting place to work and learn, but the longer I worked there I began to see how limited you are and my optimism decreased over time. ![]()
